Her-2 positive breast cancer target treatment
Global research shows that breast cancer exceeded lung cancer for the first time in 2020, becoming the world ‘ s largest cancer. Breast cancer deaths among women also account for the highest number of malignant tumours. In 2020, there were approximately 410,000 new cases of breast cancer in the country, which accounted for the highest number of malignant neoplasms in all women.
Her2 Positive breast cancer is a protein-positive breast cancer known as human skin growth factor receptor 2 (HER 2). This protein contributes to the growth of cancer cells. Approximately one cancer cell per 5 breast cancer patients contains additional genetic copies for the manufacture of HeR2 protein.
1. What is Her-2?
HER-2: Full name: human skin growth factor 2
An original cancer gene, with a small amount of HeR-2 protein Her-2 protein in the normal membrane surface of each individual, can signal and control cell growth and fragmentation.
About 15% – 20% of primary breast cancer in the West has a HeR-2 protein overexpression or an increase in the HeR-2 gene in the Asian population with 23.5% positive.
The ER-2 positive breast cancer is mostly of late age, has a tendency to shift lymphoma lymphoma, has a high degree of malignity, and has a negative prognosis.
How do you know I’m Her-2 positive?
(1) IHC
Immunohistochemistry, IHC is the method of combining antigens with antibody specifics to identify intra tissue antigens (polymeric and proteins) through chemical reactions to make visible the visible agents (fluorescents, enzymes, metal ion, isotopes) that mark antibodies.
(2) Fluorescent Field Mixture (FISH)
Fluorescence in situ hybridation, FISH is an important non-radio-level hybrid technology that emerged from genetic experiments in the late 1970s. It is based on the principle of alkaline complementarity pairing, which is used by special means to connect a probe with fluorescent material to the target DNA, and, finally, the location of the target DNA is directly observed with a fluorescent microscope.
Her-2 positive if the IHC result is “3+ “
If the IHC results are “2+”, further FISH testing should be performed to determine the HeR-2 status. If FISH results are positive, Her-2 positive
Her-2-positive patients are subject to targeted treatment for the Her-2 target in order to improve the patient ‘ s prognosis, improve the chances of survival and significantly increase the survival rate of breast cancer patients.
3. Current main anti-HER-2 target drug profiles
(1) Target against Her-2 single
The target is the outer structure of the HeR-2 cell, preventing growth signals from HeR-2 from outside the cell. On behalf of drugs: Toto-joo-poo-poo-poo-poo.
(2) Antibodies targeting Her-2 (ADC)
Antibodies are bound to cytotoxic drugs, combined with HER-2, and when they enter the cell, they release chemicals. For drugs: T-DM1, DS8201.
(3) Anti-HER-2 Chess aminosterase inhibitor (TKI)
The target is the inner structure of the HeR-2 cell, which prevents growth signals from the HeR-2 cell. On behalf of drugs: Lapatini, Picardini.
HER-2 Target treatment uses target-oriented HeR-2 treatment for HeR-2 positive breast cancer, used in combination with chemotherapy, and can also be used alone or in combination with endocrine treatment.
