In our daily lives, we hear people say, “Jealous is good for health”, so does jealousy really help to reduce blood sugar for people with diabetes? First of all, let us understand that vinegar is a fermented fermentation of food, beans, fruit, etc., and contains a variety of nutrients, such as amino acids, minerals and vitamin B2. The acetic acid component of vinegar helps to control the sudden rise in blood sugar after meals by reducing the index of blood sugar production (GI) in food. Why would vinegar have such a magical effect? Because acetic acid in vinegar inhibits the activity of starch enzymes and slows the process of distillation into glucose. It’s like “stomping on the brakes” in the transformation of starch to sugar, which reduces the rate at which sugar enters blood, thus helping us better control blood sugar. Moreover, for diabetics, the acidity of vinegar can stimulate taste buds and increase abdominal saturation, thus reducing appetite. This helps to control diets and avoid over-heat consumption, with some benefits for blood sugar control. But we also need to be conscious that, while vinegar may help in some way in blood sugar control, it has a limited effect and is not a substitute for medication. Besides, not all vinegar can drop blood sugar. For example, apple vinegar, which contains sugar, not only discourages the reduction of blood sugar but may lead to an increase in blood sugar. Therefore, diabetics should avoid, to the extent possible, sugar-bearing vinegar when choosing vinegar. So how can a diabetic be jealous? It is recommended that the amount of vinegar be kept at 10-15 ml per day to avoid overdose. Second, the choice is to eat before or during the meal in order to help control the blood sugar after the meal. For diabetics, however, there is a certain benefit to a proper level of vinegar, but it is not entirely dependent on it to reduce blood sugar. Diabetes patients should receive scientific treatment under the guidance of a doctor, maintain healthy eating habits and monitor blood sugar on a regular basis in order to effectively control the condition.
