The following are specific recommendations:
I. EQUAL ENFORCEMENT AND REACHING
The diet of patients with tumours should be based on balanced nutrition, including various nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals.
Protein: Patients should consume more good-quality protein-rich foods, such as skinny meat (e.g. pork, beef, etc.) and be careful not to overingestion red meat, fish, beans, etc. to maintain normal functioning of muscle tissue and the immune system.
Carbohydrates: The appropriate intake of carbohydrates and the selection of foods generated by low blood sugar, such as wheat bread and rice, help to control blood sugar levels and avoid obesity.
Fatty: Fatty is one of the nutrients essential for humans, but overingestion leads to health problems such as obesity and cardiovascular disease. The tumour patients should therefore be given appropriate dietary intake of fat and choose low-fat foods such as fish, tofu, chicken, etc. At the same time, high-fat foods such as fried and fried are avoided to reduce fat intake.
II. Increased intake of vegetables and fruit
Vegetables and fruits are an integral part of the diet of oncologists. They are rich in nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and dietary fibres, which help to increase immunity and promote intestinal health.
Types: Persons on tumours are advised to consume more than five vegetables and fruits per day, especially foods rich in antioxidizing substances such as vitamin C, E and β-carrotin, such as citrus fruits (care is taken that patients who take drugs should avoid eating grapefruit and its kind of fruit), green leaf vegetables, etc.
Cooking methods: Try to choose healthy cooking methods such as steaming, cooking and cooling, and avoid over-heated cooking.
III. Increasing cellulose intake
cellulose is a plant nutrient that is not absorbed by humans, but it plays an important role in preserving intestinal health, preventing constipation, etc. It is recommended that oncological patients increase the intake of cellulose-rich foods such as wheat bread, oats, beans, fresh fruit and vegetables.
Food hygiene and safety
Oncological patients are less immune and are vulnerable to bacterial and viral contaminants in food. Health and safety should therefore be addressed in diets.
Food selection: avoid eating unclean food, expired food, etc. At the same time, attention should be paid to freshness and quality when selecting food.
Cooking process: Watch the fire and time during cooking and avoid overcaling or burning food to reduce the ingestion of hazardous substances.
V. Following a personalized diet plan
The conditions and state of health of each oncology patient are different, and therefore the dietary plans should also vary from person to person. When preparing a diet plan, the patient must consult with a doctor or a nutritionist to develop a personalized diet based on his or her own situation. At the same time, care is taken to monitor the body ‘ s response and to adjust the diet in a timely manner.
Other matters of concern
Avoiding irritating foods: Oncology patients should avoid eating spicy, greasy, smoked, pickled and processed foods that can stimulate the gastrointestinal tract and lead to discomfort.
Adequate amount of drinking water: Oncological patients may experience symptoms such as drying and thirst, which requires increased water intake and a balanced body. Sufficient water, tea and other sugar-free drinks are recommended for daily use.
Avoid drinking: Alcohol is a carcinogen for oncology patients and should be strictly prohibited.
In the light of the above, the diet of patients on tumours should be based on balanced nutrition, a rational mix, increased intake of vegetables and fruit, adequate intake of fat and cellulose, dietary hygiene and safety, individualized diets, and avoidance of stimulating food and alcohol consumption. These measures help to improve the nutritional status of patients, improve the quality of life and promote rehabilitation.
