The advantage and the purpose of the treatment for cerebral palsy.

Typical symptoms of cerebral palsy are in the form of stunting, muscular tension, positional abnormalities, reflexes, and when parents discover these symptoms, they often indicate delays in the optimal treatment time.

At present, comprehensive rehabilitation is advocated in the treatment of cerebral palsy, i.e. a combination of surgical treatment, rehabilitation training and other forms of treatment, to help the sick to improve as much as possible the abnormality of the child, to help the sick to achieve a better life and even to rehabilitate in part the better.

The purpose of the surgical treatment is to permanently remove the muscular spasm of the patient and to correct the deformities of the body and joints, as well as to alleviate other factors that contribute to the physical abnormalities of the patient, such as the severe rigidity of the joint, the movement of the hand and the foot, the balance disorder, etc. Therefore, while maintaining functional rehabilitation training, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and the application of orthopaedics, it is more important to select the surgical treatment correctly in order to enhance and consolidate the therapeutic effects. Thus, the modern treatment concept of cerebral palsy and paraplegic is designed to improve the functioning of children with disabilities by using a combination of means to achieve their full potential:

(a) First, to improve patients ‘ motor functions and their independent life skills;

(b) Prevention of secondary illness, with emphasis on long-term effects;

Thirdly, it improves access to health care by correcting patients ‘ pathological state.

Treatment is targeted according to the circumstances of the family, the financial situation, and the child ‘ s condition. It should be recalled that surgery for persons with cerebral palsy is as important as rehabilitation exercise, which is 70 per cent if it is 30 per cent.

If only surgery was performed without rehabilitation, the effects of the operation were not fully demonstrated. Rehabilitation training is the most important treatment for persons with cerebral palsy and is particularly important in early treatment. Through rehabilitation training, brain tissues can be continually matured and divided so that the damaged parts can be compensated for, thus improving the motor function of the affected children.

However, as already mentioned, if convulsive cerebral palsy continues to develop after early recovery interventions, and if rehabilitation methods are still used to bring down muscle tension, it will be necessary to think about changing strategies and using surgery to solve problems easily. Inevitably, there are serious consequences of over-rehabilitation if forced rehabilitation is maintained.

Some sufferers miss the period of optimal treatment, such as deformation of the body joints, others may have further treatment effects due to the wrong treatment, in part because of their high muscle tension, which makes it difficult to conduct brain palsy rehabilitation training, limited activity of the convulsive cerebral palsy, and a passive training in conjunction with the training of the rehabilitationer, often with a number of patients and stress. Second, it is because of late school that the time spent on brain palsy rehabilitation is reduced and the effectiveness of rehabilitation is reduced. The biggest drawback of cerebral palsy treatment is that if it breaks, the effects repeat. At the same time, rehab treatment for cerebral palsy is not a fundamental method of defusing high body muscle tension, but a temporary relief, which requires surgical treatment to relieve high muscle tension, combined with rehabilitation and as much rehabilitation as possible.
