Attention to diabetes: an important reminder for healthy lives

Diabetes has become a health concern in today ‘ s society. It is like a “health killer” hidden in the shadows and silently affects the quality of life of many people.

Diabetes is mainly classified as type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes, most of which occurs during childhood and adolescence, is often due to insulin insufficiency as a result of wrongful attacks on insulin cells by its own immune system. Type 2 diabetes, on the other hand, is closely related to lifestyle, such as chronically unhealthy diets, excessive consumption of high sugar, high fat, high-heat foods, combined with a lack of exercise, and a gradual physical resistance to insulin, which leads to diabetes.

Diabetes and a series of physical symptoms. It is common for people to be thirsty, to feel their throats dry and want to drink water; to have a high frequency of urine and to run frequent toilets; and to lose weight indiscriminately, although they eat a good amount of food, but less.

Day-to-day management is essential for diabetes patients. The diet must be strictly controlled, with more food, such as vegetables and whole grains, rich in food fibres, and a rational distribution of three meals of heat. With regard to sports, the choice of the right way to exercise, such as walking, jogging, Tai Chi Fist, etc., maintains regular exercise and helps to control blood sugar levels. At the same time, blood sugar is regularly monitored in order to adjust the treatment programme in a timely manner, as prescribed by the doctor.

Each of us should focus on the prevention of diabetes. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, moderate exercise, avoiding obesity and regular medical check-ups will enable us to live a healthy and better life free of diabetes and its complications.
