The high CA199 is not necessarily tumour. CA199, an antigen of sugar, is a sign of tumours, the rise of which may be associated with several factors, including malignant tumours, benign tumours, inflammation and certain physiological factors. Therefore, when the CA199 values are found to be higher, it cannot be immediately determined that they are tumours, and further relevant examinations are required for a clear diagnosis.
Reducing CA199 values requires, first, the identification of the cause of the disease and then treatment of the cause. The following are possible causes of the disease and the corresponding treatments:
I. Malignant neoplasm
The possibility of malignant neoplasms should be highly suspected if the CA199 values are significantly increased, in particular by more than a dozen or more times the normal value, or if there is a continuing upward trend. At this point, visual examinations (e.g., B Super, CT, MRI, etc.) and pathological biopsies need to be further refined to provide a clear diagnosis. Once a malignant tumour has been diagnosed, appropriate anti-oncological treatments, such as surgery, chemotherapy, discharge, target-oriented treatment, etc., should be selected according to the type of tumour, the period and the patient ‘ s physical condition. With the treatment and control of tumours, the CA199 is expected to decrease.
II. Positive neoplasms
Certain benign tumours (e.g., benign pancreas tumours, cholesterol cholesterol adenoma, etc.) may also lead to higher CA199 values. In the case of such patients, the tumour is observed on a regular basis if it is small and not symptomatic, and in the case of a larger tumour or significant symptoms, the surgical removal is considered. After the operation, CA199 values are usually gradually returning to normal.
III. Infectious diseases
Inflammatory diseases such as pancreas and cholesterol can also lead to higher CA199 values. Such patients should be actively treated for primary diseases, such as the use of anti-inflammatory drugs and anti-infection drugs. As the inflammation subsides, the CA199 values decrease.
Physical factors
Physical factors such as long stayovers, overwork and heavy consumption can also lead to an increase in the CA199 values. For this category of patients, it is recommended to improve the way of life, to maintain regularity, to balance diets, to exercise appropriately, to stop smoking and alcohol. By adjusting the lifestyle, the CA199 values are expected to gradually return to normal.
Is there any way to lower CA199?
In addition to treating the causes of the disease, the following measures can be taken to assist in reducing the CA199 values:
1. Periodic review: periodic monitoring of changes in CA199 values, as well as relevant visual examinations to assess the effects of treatment and changes in the condition.
2. Psychological regulation: maintain a good mind and avoid the effects of anxiety, stress, etc. on the condition.
In general, the reduction of CA199 values requires the identification of the causes of the disease and the treatment of the causes. At the same time, complementary measures such as improved lifestyles, periodic review and psychological adjustments have also helped to reduce CA199 values and promote physical recovery.
