With the popularization of breast cancer screening, the incidence and diagnosis rate of breast cancer are getting higher and higher in recent years. Often hear patients ask, how long can you live with breast cancer? In fact, in clinical work, many breast cancer patients are very afraid after diagnosis. There’s no need to worry too much. We all know that the treatment effect of breast cancer is closely related to the stage of the disease and the standard treatment. In general, the earlier the disease is detected, the better the treatment effect. In addition, the more standardized the treatment, the better the treatment effect. Good treatment means that we can live longer and better. Now the overall prognosis of breast cancer patients is very impressive. If breast cancer can be detected in the first stage, then 90% of patients have a chance to achieve clinical cure. But in the second stage of discovery, as long as we receive timely and standardized treatment, more than 70% of patients will have a chance to achieve clinical cure. If you are very unfortunate and diagnosed with advanced breast cancer, don’t give up easily. Through standardized treatment, nearly 30% of our patients can be clinically cured. So what does this healing mean? It means that patients can live like normal people and even work normally. But there is one place that we need to pay special attention to is the prevention of recurrence and metastasis. At present, the recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer are mainly concentrated in the period of two or three years after surgery or two to five years after surgery, which is the peak of recurrence and metastasis. So is the recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer terrible? Is it a death sentence if it happens? That’s not true. A large number of clinical data studies have shown that the recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer are controllable, treatable and not terrible. For example, many of our patients cooperate with postoperative treatment, regular review, maintain healthy and good living habits, many patients still live well 10 or 20 years after cancer. Keeping a good attitude and actively cooperating with the doctor’s treatment, we are hopeful to live longer and healthier.
