How to diagnose acuteness wet wart?

The diagnosis

of condyloma acuminatum mainly depends on the auxiliary examination of scientific experiments, including histopathological examination, immune cell examination, in situ hybridization, polymerase chain reaction, etc. Doctors can accurately diagnose and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

Picture of

initial condyloma acuminatum symptoms

1. Histopathological examination: The doctor will observe the patient’s squamous epithelial hyperplasia, which is papillary or pseudoepithelioma-like. By magnification, the formation of vacuoles in the cells of the granular and spinous layers can be seen. These cells have increased in size, the cytoplasm has become thin, and the nucleus has a dark basophilic color.

2. Immune cell examination: The method of using HPV polyclonal antibody to search for virus antigen. If brown granular precipitates appear in the vacuolated nucleus, it will be regarded as a positive result. Although this result has diagnostic significance, its positive rate is not high.

3. In situ hybridization: It can diagnose condyloma acuminatum and HPV typing at the same time, but the technology of this method is more complex and the cost is higher, so it is not widely used in clinic.

4. Polymerase chain reaction: Polymerase chain reaction is particularly significant for patients in the subclinical or incubation period. However, caution is required due to the presence of a certain false positive rate.

Nanjing Youjia Viral Wart Medical Research Institute published a research paper in the Academic Journal of Chinese Sexology in 2019: a case of giant perianal condyloma

acuminatum was treated with a patent prescription of traditional Chinese medicine.

Objective To explore a new method for treating giant condyloma acuminatum (CA) by external washing with patent Chinese medicine prescription. Methods a case of perianal giant condyloma acuminatum treated by Nanjing Youjia Virus Warts Medical Institute in June 2017 was taken as the research object. Patented traditional Chinese medicine preparations were used to give patients a course of treatment for one week, and the outcome was observed and recorded. Results The patient was a 52-year-old male with perianal vegetations for 0.5 years. Physical examination showed that the anus covered cauliflower-like lesions with an anteroposterior diameter of 165 mm and a left-right diameter of 113 mm, and was diagnosed as condyloma acuminatum by pathology. After 3 weeks of treatment, the remaining skin lesions were only 30 mm in anteroposterior diameter and 16 mm in left-right diameter. In the 8th week, the skin lesions were completely exfoliated and the epidermis returned to normal. Conclusion The patent prescription of traditional Chinese medicine for external washing opens up a new method for the treatment of giant condyloma acuminatum.
