How to find breast nodules early

Zhang Jia Zhennan

Breast nodules are one of the common breast diseases in women, and more than half of women may have mild or severe breast nodules. Although most breast nodules are benign, women still need to pay attention to them. Here are some ways to self-detect breast nodules to help women detect them early:

1. Observation method: Stand in front of the mirror with your hands hanging down naturally, and carefully observe whether there are abnormal depressions, lumps or skin color changes on both sides of the breast. Then, raise your hands above your head and observe the shape and skin condition of your breasts again to see if there are any abnormal changes. Side observation: lie on your side on the bed and observe the contour of the side and bottom of the breast, noting any unevenness or protrusions.

2. Touch method Touch method is an important means of self-detection of breast nodules, through the touch of fingers to detect abnormal breast masses. Basic position: In a comfortable position, such as standing or lying flat on the bed, gently press the breast with three finger pads (index, middle and ring fingers). Touch mode: check from the periphery of the breast to the nipple in a spiral way to feel whether there are abnormal lumps or nodules in the breast. Be careful to touch every part of the breast, including the underarm and the edge of the breast. Force control: When touching, the force should be even and moderate, neither too heavy nor too light, so as not to miss minor lesions or cause unnecessary pain.

When

bathing, because the skin and hands are wet and slippery, it is easier to find small nodules or lumps by gently massaging the breast with your hands. You can check it by sliding your finger while applying shower gel, and pay attention to all parts of the breast.

4. Precautions Time selection: The best time for breast self-examination is about a week after menstruation, because at this time the hormone level in the body is relatively stable, the breast is relatively soft, and it is easier to find abnormalities.

Avoid error: when having a breast self-examination, avoid pinching the breast with your fingers, so as not to regard the normal breast tissue as a lump. At the same time, we should also pay attention to distinguish the fat mass in the breast from the real lump.

Seek medical advice

in time: If any abnormal lump, pain or discomfort is found during self-examination, seek medical advice in time for further examination and treatment.

Professional examination: Although self-examination is an important means to detect breast nodules, it can not replace professional medical examination.

Therefore, it is suggested that women should have regular breast ultrasound examination, breast molybdenum target examination and other professional examination items in order to understand breast health more accurately.

To sum up, self-examination through observation, touch and bathing is an effective way to detect early breast nodules. Women should improve their awareness of self-care, conduct regular breast self-examination and pay attention to physical changes in order to detect and treat breast diseases such as breast nodules in time.
